Update

Well. It has been awhile since the last time I updated a post. School, work, and my social life got in the way from me updating and posting on Courtney Ann blog, but I just wanted to update everyone with some news. I am in the process of creating my own website! Since this past semester, I took a web design course and it opened my eyes to planning, creating, and designing a website. I learned everything from HTML coding to uploading on a hosting site. Like I said I am in the process of creating a website that will be based around this blog. I don't know when it will be up and running because I am in the early stages of creating it. As soon as I have it uploaded and running, I will have a blog post with the new web address. I am hoping I will still keep up with this blog as well as my new website. I am planning on using www.Weebly.com to create my website. It's amazing! It is so easy and I can already tell I am going to have a lot of fun with it! I am so glad that I took a web design course this past semester because I was always interesting in it, but never took any classes covering the bases of it. I am growing to love it and I can't wait to explore more of web designing in the future!

L'Oreal Paris Products

Today I am going to talk about my love of L'Oreal Paris products. For a long time, I bought my makeup from the brand CoverGirl. Although there is nothing wrong with CoverGirl's products, I wanted to branch out and experience something new. I discovered L'Oreal Paris and fell in love instantly. I love the professional looks that you can create with the products that they have. I tend to go more for neutral colors so the products that I have bought aren't too colorful or extreme, but I still feel that anyone can uses these products for everyday and evening looks. 

First lets start with lip products. I have collected a lot lip products from L'Oreal Paris. I have four lipsticks and three lip liners. The lipstick colors I currently have are Julianne's Nude 620 from the Collection Privee by Julianne, Colour Riche Wisteria Rose 251, Colour Riche Peony Pink 580 and Colour Riche Mauved 140. The lip liners I currently have are Colour Riche All About Pink, Colour Riche Beyond Pink and Colour Riche Eternal Mauve. 

Second, I am going to be talking about eyes and blush products. I currently have one blush product that I am using right now and it is True Match in the color Tender Rose. It is a very pinky blush color. Although I like the color of it, I feel that it doesn't show up on my skin as well. I might have to go a shade darker. For eyes, I currently have  the Voluminous Original Mascara in black, True Match primer concealer in Fair/Light, Colour Riche eye shadow palette in Rose Nude, eye shadow in Endless Pearl and Always Pearly Pink. 

Lastly, I am going to talk about my favorite product from L'Oreal Paris, nail polish. This is probably the best nail polish I have ever owned! I noticed that it doesn't chip and last for weeks! I highly recommend them. I currently own five: Collection Privee Frieda's Nude 350, Collection  Privee Julianne's Nude 620, Collection Privee Doutzen's Nude 600, Stroke of Midnight 570, Greycian Goddess 560.

Jesse McCartney: In Technicolor

JESSE McCARTNEY IN TECHNICOLOR 

Many of you might remember Jesse McCartney back in 2004 with his smash hit "Beautiful Soul". The "Beautiful Soul" singer has come a long way. He has been in many movies and TV shows like Summerland, Alvin and the Chipmunks and Army Wives. Not only is he successful in films and TV shows, he has a successful singing career.

Just last year, Jesse has put out a new album called "In Technicolor". The album has a R&B, pop and soul feeling to it. When I first heard the news that he was releasing a new album, I was excited. It has been since 2008 since Jesse has released a new album. 

This is probably my favorite album of his. All of the songs are fantastic and Jesse sounds great as usual. The album includes 11 original songs by Jesse. My favorites from the album are "In Technicolor Pt. 1", "Young Love", "Checkmate", "In Technicolor Pt. II" and "The Other Guy". 

With his new album out, he made announcement that he was going to go on tour to a few cities this past summer, 2014. I was fortunate enough to attend one of his concerts and can you believe it was the same time I was vacationing down in Myrtle Beach, SC! Talk about lucky timing! It was my first major concert ever! The concert was amazing and seeing Jesse McCartney in person made my dreams come true! 

Overall, I love Jesse McCartney's music and I love this album. Go check it out in stores or on iTunes!

My Top Five Movie Picks

Today I will be sharing my favorite movies of all time. I love watching movies. I like going to the movie theater and I also like watching movies at home with my family. It was so hard to just pick a few to share with you all because there are so many great movies out there. So here are my top five.

#5 Grown Ups

I saw this movie in theaters with my family when it came out and it was really funny! The whole theater was laughing at Adam Sandler, Kevin James, David Spade, Chris Rock and Rob Schneider's jokes. All these guys were great together and it really looked like they had a great time filming it.

#4 Star Wars films series

I have to admit, I really enjoy the Star Wars films series. I have no preference when it comes to the 1970s Star Wars movies to the new Star Wars movies. We will have to wait and see if the next installment of the franchise will be as good as the rest.

#3 Classic Disney Movies

Growing up, I had my fair share of watching classic Disney movies. From Cinderella to Toy Story, I love all kinds of Disney movies. You can never go wrong with the classics!

#2 The Hunger Games film series

I read all the books and I love all the movies. I love the story line in these films and it has some incredible actors! I can't wait to see the final installment of The Hunger Games series, but also kind of sad that it will be all over.

#1 The Great Gatsby

I absolutely adore this movie. I think this is one of my favorite Leonardo DiCaprio movies. I read the book and loved the plot. The colors in this movie are so beautiful too!

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

For Christmas this year, I received the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. I got interested in this product because I recently have been watching YouTube personalities like Sarahbelle93x, Caitlin Bea and many others and I have seen them use the Naked 3 Palette in their videos. Recently I have become more interested in makeup and heard positive reviews on it so I decided to give it a try.

I like the Naked 3 Palette the best out of all the Naked Palettes because they are the colors I normally would wear. This is my first time owning something from the Urban Decay makeup line. The other Naked Palettes seem to be darker than the Naked 3 one. I like the Naked 3 Palette because it is more of a rosey, pink palette. I like my makeup to be natural so the Naked 3 Palette was the best fit for me.

Since receiving the Naked 3 Palette, I have been using it a lot. I have been looking up tutorials on YouTube on how to create certain eye makeup looks. It has been a lot of fun experimenting with this new makeup and I can't wait to continue learning how to create new makeup looks in the future.

Makeup Brushes

I recently bought some new makeup brushes to try out. I have become more interested in makeup ever since I received the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette for Christmas this year. I have been searching for makeup tutorials on YouTube recently and the tips and tricks I have learned so far have really helped improve on how I apply my makeup.

With that said, I wanted to invest in some better quality makeup brushes. For my birthday this past year, I have received makeup brushes from Walmart. There is no name brand on these brushes, but they are an okay quality. I have used them everyday and will still continue to use them with my new brushes. The brushes I purchased are from the brand Real Techniques. The quality in these brushes are fantastic! When you first take the brushes out of the packaging, they are so soft and fluffy. Also the bristles don't come out of the brushes when you use them on your face or wash them. 

These brushes are a little on the expensive side, but that is because the quality of these brushes are great. I did buy these brushes at Kohl's in the Beauty Department by using a discount, so they were a little cheaper. You can find these brushes at Kohl's, Walmart, Target and Ulta. I bought the powder, blush, foundation and shading brushes. I still would like to get the other brushes and see how they work because each brush is used for something different.

For anyone looking for new makeup brushes I recommend the brand Real Techniques.
